<p>PM Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate India’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) - RapidX on 20 October. The 17-kilometer priority section on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor in Ghaziabad will mark the beginning of this rapid rail service. The initial phase covers the stretch from Sahibabad to Duhai Terminal via Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai.</p>

<p>Construction of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor began in 2019, and the RRTS trains, similar in appearance to metro trains, come with features like luggage carriers, wider seats, ladies coach and mini-screens.</p>

<p>RapidX’s 82-kilometer journey from Delhi to Meerut will take less than an hour, offering a high-speed ranging 160-180 kmph, high-frequency, safe, reliable, comfortable, and eco-friendly public transit option. Ticket prices will range from a minimum of Rs 15 to a maximum of Rs 160. PM Modi will purchase the first ticket for the RapidX.</p>
