Crypto prices today 10 Oct 2023: Bitcoin slips by 1.12%, Metaverse token were also trading in the red

On Tuesday, Bitcoin dipped by 1.12 percent to $27,624.18 since the past day. At the time of writing this article (0930 IST), its nearest rival, Ethereum, fell by 3.05 percent to $1,584.83

As the market witnessed a decline, the prices of top tokens like XRP and Solana went down by 3.66 and 4.78 percent, respectively. The value of Cardano decreased by 2.35 percent.

The overall global crypto market cap also witnessed a decline of 1.79 percent, reaching $1.07 trillion. On the other hand, the total trading volume surged by 58.46 percent to reach $28.96 billion.

Gainers and decliners

Today's top gainers include Tezos, Tether Gold, XDC Network and PAX Gold. Contrastingly, coins like GALA, WOO Network and Ocean Protocol were among the top losers.

Memecoins slips

Popular memecoins were in the red. Elon Musk-backed Dogecoin fell by 3.24 percent to stand at $0.05896. Other memecoins like Shiba Inu decreased by 3.62 percent, while Pepe Coin took a lead in the red by 5.93 percent.

Metaverse tokens decline

Almost all of the Metaverse tokens were trading low today. Internet Computer declined by 6.12 percent, and Stacks dipped by 4.05 percent, while the value of LUKSO increased by 0.14 percent. The values of Axie Infinity also recorded a slip by 4.32 percent amid the market fluctuations.
