WhatsApp to give users more control over their chats with new text formatting tools and secret codes

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps worldwide, is continually evolving to provide its users with more control and security over their chats. In the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, two exciting features are currently being tested: Enhanced text formatting tools and secret codes for locked chats.

Text formatting tools

In addition to using your phone's PIN or biometric authentication, you'll need to enter the secret code to access these chats. This added layer of security ensures that even if someone gains access to your device's password, they won't be able to open your locked chats without the secret code.

difficult for me to reach him yet he keep send broadcast messages on WhatsApp but never responded to my chat.

I have tried to also reach him on his Instagram handle but i observe he locked his comments section.

The ability to set, change, or remove the secret code at any time adds a significant level of control to your chat privacy. It's a helpful safeguard against unauthorised access to your private conversations.

Once you've applied the chat lock on WhatsApp, your chat will be hidden, and you can reveal it simply by scrolling down on the chat window once.

Note: The chat lock feature won't function till the time your phone is linked to a computer or laptop. To use the chat lock, you need to disconnect your linked device first.
