Google gives a makeover to Android robot logo - ‘android’ will now be ‘Android’
Android is transitioning from its longstanding lowercase stylisation of 'android' to a more elevated form by capitalising the 'A.' This change adds prominence to the Android logo, especially when it's positioned alongside Google's logo.

Google is now giving the Android logo a thorough makeover after years of evolution. iPhones are being admired by many people even though android phones are the most popular. The Android logo has changed overtime, and now Google is updating it. Jason Fournier, Director, Android Consumer Brand Management, said in a blog post that they want their brand to show that Android is open, keeps improving and welcomes everyone.

Google changes how Android looks
To compliment Google's brand palette and be flexible, new visuals are inspired by material design. Before, the Android logo had small letters like ‘android’ but now the stylisation has been done. Now, its first letter ‘A’ has been capitalised and now it becomes ‘Android.’ They have also integrated artificial intelligence into their Widget ‘At a Glance.’
This transition makes it look stronger next to Google’s logo. The new Android logo has now been added with some curves, so it looks more like Google’s logo and looks balanced together.
Android’s logo overhauling
The Android logo changed in 2019, and that’s when they also started naming Android versions differently. Before, they used to give them dessert names like Marshmallow, Oreo, and Nougat.
Android robot’s real world look
The Android robot, known as the bugdroid, has a fresh look. It now looks more dynamic and has more character. The goal was to make it represent Android's dynamic nature better.
They also changed how the whole robot looks to make it work well both in digital and real-world settings. This way, it can be used in many different places and situations.
