Google introduced Material You with Android 12
Material You design will be available in the Chrome web store for a visual upgrade. Together with Android 12, Google unveiled Material You. It is a design language that, to put it simply, makes use of more colour and has a simple user interface based on the phone's wallpaper.

Additionally, users can change the accent and text colours as well as the individual element hues. Icons, the home page, and the setting page will all closely resemble the theme of the Chrome browser.
Generally speaking, higher retention and simple navigation are aided by a homogeneous appearance.
Google will add extension like AI and Editor’s Spotlight
In addition to the fresh visual appeal, the Chrome Web Store is set to resemble Google Play in terms of its recommendation system. Google is introducing extension categories, including AI-powered extensions and Editors' spotlight, to enhance user discoverability.
For Google Chrome's 15th birthday, Google has released a bunch of new features, including Material You theming, a redesigned Chrome Web Store, Google Search side panel and improved Safe Browsing.

Furthermore, users can expect more personalised recommendations tailored to their preferences. Google is also extending the Safety Check feature to cover extensions, enabling users to identify unpublished extensions that may be in violation of Google's Terms of Service and also improving the security with Google safe browsing in real-time.
We're upgrading Safe Browsing so it will now check sites against Google's known-bad sites in real time. By shortening the time between identification and prevention of threats, we expect to see 25 per cent improved protection from malware and phishing threats.
Google's ongoing efforts to enhance user experience
The blog post affirms Google's commitment to extending Bard's generative AI capabilities to more tools. By utilising Bard's generative AI capabilities, Google Search is gradually providing a summary of queries on a side panel. The Google Search side panel can even be pinned to your toolbar.
