In a significant stride towards strengthening the digital education landscape in India, HP and Google have joined forces to manufacture Chromebooks within the country. This partnership reaffirms their commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, aiming to provide affordable, safe, and high-quality computing devices to education authorities, schools, and institutions.
The production of HP Chromebooks is set to commence on 2 October 2023, at the Flex Facility near Chennai, where HP has been producing laptops and desktops since August 2020.
