League of Kingdoms

A massively multiplayer strategy game called League of Kingdoms is focused on creating kingdoms and ruling the planet.

This game was released on Ethereum in the first half of 2020 to reshape the play-to-earn games ecosystem. In the game, any form of digital asset like land is placed on the Ethereum blockchain network, where gamers are supposed to build their kingdoms on digital land owned by them. The involvement of blockchain technology further allows the players to build, battle, rule, compete, and trade cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

With over 150,000 daily active users and over 800,000 monthly active users, this game can actually help users earn crypto based on their NFT ownership. A part of the game's revenue will be set aside by the smart contract to reward active players and landlords.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity, which was introduced in 2018, is a Vietnamese game that was developed by Sky Mavis. In this game, animals modelled on Pokemon characters are designed to breed, care, and trade. Over 500 body pieces are available for customisation for each monster.

In Axie Infinity, users compete in battles between groups of cute monsters called Axies.

With the aid of Ronin, an Ethereum sidechain that helps reduce fees and transaction delays, the game is running on the Ethereum blockchain. The majority of the action takes place during turn-based battles, either online against real opponents or against Axie teams controlled by computers.

Unlike conventional in-game items, the NFT confers ownership to the buyer; which allows them to trade Axies on the game's marketplace for real money. Some Axie NFTs have sold for as much as 300 ETH apiece, or more than $600,000.

Decentraland

In this virtual environment with over 90,000 property parcels, players may purchase wearables, avatars, and real estate using the MANA cryptocurrency, which is anERC-20 token. This virtual P2E game is running on the Ethereum blockchain that allows landowners to freely construct,  including interactive installations, full-featured games, virtual shops or galleries, and more.

Additionally, users may generate income by planning and selling concert tickets, hosting an exhibition with an auction of digital artwork, and so forth.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox was first designed as a mobile game in 2012. After purchasing the rights in 2018, Animoca Brands transformed the app into a complete game universe. The style of The Sandbox resembles Minecraft and Roblox.

The Sandbox is a fully developed universe with several locations, quests, and interactions; so it would be unfair to call it just a virtual game. Players also have a great time exploring every aspect of the virtual world through two currencies in the game The SAND and LAND.
The Sandbox's LAND is a plot of land.

There are roughly 166,464 lots available to players in the Metaverse as a whole. On their own land, each player might designate a special location. There, they can construct homes or castles, add pools, and raise animals.

Splinterlands

The fantasy trading card game Splinterlands, which is dubbed 'the next generation of collectible card games,' is based on the Hive blockchain and transports users into a realm filled with mystic creatures, potent magic, and battles. Players can create their own decks and engage in tactical battles with gamers from across the world while collecting over 100 unique cards.

The NFT cards received by the users from Splinterlands are used to battle for rewards, keep as collectibles, and trade in NFT marketplaces. SPS, the native token of the game, also serves as a governance token. Before playing Splinterlands, users must pay $10 on a summoner's spellbook and 3,000 credits.
