‘Immutable’ partners with AWS to enhance its web3 gaming ecosystem
Web3 gaming platform Immutable teams up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide more choices for game developers as AWS expands its startup accelerator programs.

Highlights
- Immutable utilises Amazon EventBridge and AWS Lambda, serverless services that connect application components using events
- The zkEVM reduces game developers costs and offers the security and network benefits of the Ethereum ecosystem
Immutable, a Web3 gaming platform, has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer more to game developers. AWS is expanding its startup accelerator programs, and this collaboration grants Immutable access to game studio leads and support for closing deals.
Immutable is now part of AWS's independent software vendor (ISV) Accelerate Program, which involves software solutions compatible with AWS. Developers on Immutable's blockchain can join AWS and activate benefits like technical support, training, and $100,000 in AWS cloud credits.
AWS is committed to supporting web3 game development through its infrastructure, said John Kearney, AWS head of startups Australia.

Immutable uses Amazon EventBridge and AWS Lambda, services that link application parts with events, boosting scalability to handle ten times more games.
Some have raised concerns about gaming and Ethereum relying heavily on Amazon, the cloud service market leader, holding about a third of the cloud services market.
Michel Powel, immutable Product Marketing Lead, had also mentioned it a long time ago in a report that many blockchain enthusiasts prefer full decentralisation, which contrasts with how game developers typically work off chain.
Zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine
Immutable started public testing of the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM), a cryptographic protocol on Ethereum enabling secure and private transactions and computations using zero-knowledge proofs, in August, in partnership with Polygon Labs.
This innovation is set to reduce game development costs while offering the security and network advantages of the Ethereum ecosystem.
In March 2022, Immutable was valued at $2.5 billion after securing $200 million in a Series C funding round, led mainly by Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek.
