In an effort to enhance the convenience of daily travel in the National Capital Region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Paytm Payments Bank Wallet & transit Card for NaMo Bharat stations. This digital initiative, in partnership with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), introduces a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) that will simplify the payment process for Delhi-NCR commuters.

A digital solution for commuters
Paytm Payments Bank Limited has joined hands with NCRTC to introduce the National Common Mobility Card. Launched at Sahibabad station in Uttar Pradesh, this card is closely integrated with the popular Paytm Payments Bank Wallet, offering a seamless experience for commuters. It can be used for a wide array of transactions, including travelling in metros, buses, and trains, as well as shopping and more.
Accessibility of NCRTC
The National Common Mobility Card will be readily available at all NCRTC NaMo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) stations throughout Delhi-NCR. This card can be used at any NCMC enabled merchant or operator across the country. PPBL has also streamlined the application process for the Paytm Payments Bank Wallet & transit card, making it easily accessible for users.
Addressing urban mobility challenges
Surinder Chawla, MD & CEO of Paytm Payments Bank Limited, emphasised the significance of the Paytm Payments Bank Wallet & transit card in addressing urban mobility challenges. The card offers commuters in the NCR the convenience of a single card to manage all their daily payment requirements, spanning multiple modes of transportation and online shopping.
A milestone in mass transit
This initiative marks PPBL's second product in the mass transit category, following the success of FASTags. The bank has already issued more than 1.75 crore FASTags across India, facilitating digital toll and parking fee collections at over 300 toll and parking plazas on National and State highways.
The introduction of the National Common Mobility Card further solidifies PPBL's commitment to simplifying and enhancing the everyday lives of Indian commuters.
