In a tweet on 31 July 2023, Yuga Labs shared news of the impending acquisition, revealing its plan to execute a broader vision for Otherside. Eric Reid, the founder and CEO of Roar Studios, will join Yuga as the general manager of Otherside. In his new role, Reid will oversee the development and production of the Metaverse.
