Opera One: AI-based web browsing experience on Windows, Linux & Macs
Opera redesigned its web browser for an AI-based web browsing experience as a standard feature.

Highlights
- The new AI is named Aria, which is result of partnership of Opera and OpenAI
- To interact with Aria users can simply press CTRL+/ or CMD+/ on their respective operating systems.
We all are aware of recent developments in AI technology and its integration in various areas. After integrating layer 1 Blockchain MultiversX to its web browser, opera redesigns its web browser for AI-based web experience with its freshly developed AI called ‘Aria’ with collaboration with OpenAI.
In April, Opera provided developers with an early access developer build of Opera One, primarily highlighting its modular and multithreaded capabilities. During that period, Opera mentioned its intention to incorporate its own AI engine into the browser, and now users can finally experience the benefits of this feature.
Opera collaboration with Open AI
The browser incorporates an integrated artificial intelligence system named Aria, which is the result of a partnership between Opera and OpenAI. Aria utilises Opera's Composer AI engine and is integrated with OpenAI's GPT 3.5, enhancing its functionality with features like real-time web results and access to Opera's extensive support documentation.
Opera’s proprietary composer AI engine enables the combination of live web search and @OpenAI’s GPT, making Aria both a web & browser expert. Aria also makes use of Opera's AI Prompts, which give users contextual prompts by highlighting or right-clicking text in the browser.

To seamlessly interact with Aria, users can simply press CTRL+/ or CMD+/ on their respective operating systems, opening a command line interface for chatting with Aria, similar to the ChatGPT experience. Additionally, there's an AI Prompts feature that enables Aria to respond to highlighted or right-clicked text with relevant prompts.
Users can also find ChatGPT available on the sidebar. It's important to note that Opera values user control, so accessing the AI services provided by Opera One is optional.
What else is new
To utilise Aria, users need to create a free Opera account first. In addition to its AI features, Opera One incorporates "Tab Islands" for convenient organisation of tabs into separate groups or islands. This can be done manually or automatically.
The browser also boasts a new modular design and a multithreaded compositor, which combine to deliver a dynamic browsing experience that adapts to user activities. This enhanced design ensures a faster and smoother user interface by leveraging multithreading technology.
Opera one is currently available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux, speculations are there that it may soon debut for smartphone(iOS & android).
