India’s leading technology company, HCL Technologies, has inked a strategic collaboration agreement with Business Finland, the official trade and investment promotion agency of Finland. The partnership, announced on Wednesday, focuses on advancing generative artificial intelligence (AI), space, and quantum technologies, marking a significant step in promoting global digital innovation.

Under this partnership, Finnish companies will gain access to HCLTech's expansive innovation network, eSTiPTM, comprising over 1,500 startups, 14 venture capitalists, 16 trade commissions, and five academic institutions across the globe. This collaboration strengthens HCLTech’s foothold in the Nordic region, where the company has been actively engaged for the past 15 years. By leveraging Business Finland’s funding and expertise, the collaboration aims to facilitate early access to emerging technologies for HCLTech, fostering a robust business ecosystem and ensuring continuous growth.

Driving global technological advancements

Kalyan Kumar, Global Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the importance of aligning innovative solutions with client needs to create a dynamic business landscape.

Juuka Holappa, commercial counselor of the Finnish embassy in Delhi and the country director at Business Finland India, emphasised the pivotal role of companies like HCLTech in supporting global growth for Finnish startups. Through this partnership, Business Finland aims to showcase the best of Finnish technology to HCLTech and its clients, promoting the country's startups as leading technology providers in various industries.
