Generate AI images from Google search
Google's SGE now allows users to generate images with ease. You can request various types of images, such as drawings, photos, or paintings, and SGE will provide you with four creative results. You can even edit the prompts to generate a new set. This feature is powered by Google's Imagen text-to-image model.

Image search enhancement
The image generation feature isn't confined to SGE alone; it's also available within Google Image search. If you can't find the photo you're looking for in the search results, you can use prompts to create a new image. This enhances your ability to find or create visual content efficiently.
Age limitation
To ensure responsible use of this technology, Google is limiting image generation to users aged 18 and older, even though SGE recently became available to teens aged 13–17 in the U.S. The company has implemented strict filtering policies to prevent the creation of harmful, misleading, or explicit images.
Additionally, it blocks the creation of images containing photorealistic faces and prompts mentioning notable people to prevent inappropriate content and the spread of misinformation.
Metadata & watermarking
Every image generated through SGE comes with embedded metadata to indicate it's AI-generated. Additionally, invisible watermarking, powered by SynthID, further distinguishes these creations as AI-generated, ensuring transparency and authenticity.
Another AI feature
The second new feature builds upon SGE's existing function as a writing assistant. Initially, SGE could generate draft text, which Google integrated to help users compose emails to companies they discovered through search. Now, this draft writing feature has been enhanced to provide different writing styles, including longer or shorter content, and the ability to adjust the tone to be more serious or casual.

Availability
These features will gradually become available to a portion of SGE users, starting tomorrow, and will eventually be accessible to a wider user base in the coming weeks.
To access these features, users need to opt in through Google Search Labs. Currently, these features are offered exclusively in English in the United States, despite SGE's recent expansion to India and Japan.
With Google's new image generation and enhanced writing features in SGE, users can now explore their creative potential like never before.
