Highlights

  • Hyper-realistic bots hold the ability to replace human partners during intercourse
  • Uncensored chatbots for sexual roleplaying are actively being developed by AI communities

While speaking on the ‘Impact Theory’ podcast recently, former Google executive Mo Gawdat has made a shocking prediction that hyper-realistic AI sex robots may soon replace intimate human relationships.

According to the former Google executive, soon people will be able to replicate sexual experiences that are indistinguishable from real-life ones using virtual reality and augmented reality.

"Just think of all the illusions we're now unable to decipher, illusions from truth," Gawdat said on the podcast. "Sex happens in the brain, at the end of the day. The physical side of it is not that difficult to simulate."

Can AI eliminate the need for a human partner?

Innovations like Neuralink, that claims to connect the nervous system to technology, may make human relationships unnecessary. Gawdat pondered, "Why would you need another being in the first place?" if you can utilise technology to experience what your lover makes you feel.

Gawdat believes that the idea of having sex with actual sex robots versus having virtual encounters driven by AI serves the same purpose and will be used in the future.
Gawdat is aware that genuine interpersonal connections may be challenging and messy. He believes that AI may one day be so sophisticated that it will be able to replicate the mental and emotional aspects of being close to someone, such as having a friend or being in love.

Whether AI-powered bots should be regarded as sentient or having sentiments and ideas similar to those of humans, is still up for dispute. Gawdat contends that whether or not we believe an AI to be genuine is immaterial if we have a deep emotional connection to it.

‘Love at first prompt’ may come into picture

Uncensored chatbots for sexual roleplaying are actively being developed by AI communities, who are satisfied by only reading about things rather than really experiencing them. Anyone can customise personalities using new open-source, unrestricted AI models, frequently in ways that society might find questionable.

The growing speed of AI development ensures that complex societal issues will come up more frequently. Are you ready for ‘love at first prompt’ to replace love at first sight? Moreover, the pillow talk idea can also be soon replaced with the significant AI upgrade.
