Musk’s continues to grow big in AI

Musk's 'X' represents his idea of an 'everything app,' or a single piece of software that can be used for all activities associated with daily life and work, including social networking, payments, and others. In the wake of Musk's development in AI, he also registered Twitter in Nevada and changed Twitter’s corporate name to X Corp.

On Friday, Musk's name was listed as the director of the company, along with Jared Birchall, who is believed to be Musk's right-hand man, and is listed as the secretary in the filing. Last week, Musk reportedly purchased 10,000 of the Nvidia GPU for its AI related project. Moreover, Igor Babushkin, a former researcher for OpenAI and Deepmind researcher, was included in the project handling.

Musk’s love-hate relationship with AI

In 2015, Elon Co-founded OpenAI in 2015, and resigned after three years from the board of directors, given his take on the confusing operationalisation of OpenAI. He stated, "closed source maximum-profit company effectively controlled by Microsoft."

Musk and more than 1,000 other researchers have issued a warning that AI could provide ‘profound risks to society and humanity.’ The said warning called for a pause in AI research and development worldwide for at least six months to give society a chance to adapt to the quickly increasing technological developments. Later investigations revealed some of the signers to be fake.
