- RERA is a court for real estate disputes
- Consultants can submit their complaints on the RERA web portal's form
The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued an invitation for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Indian consulting and IT companies to use cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP) for the creation of a ‘Smart Court’ system.
Can AI help in clearing disputes?
The deployment of emerging technologies will enable the authority to process customer complaints more quickly and efficiently. With the construction of virtual courts and the implementation of online dispute settlement tools, the pandemic has sped up the digitalisation of the e-courts system.

Officials state that RERA has published an EOI to ask for applications from professionals and organisations interested in implementing the project. The purpose of RERA is to act as a smart court that handles disputes related to the real estate industry.
RERA-a smart contract
"We aim to utilise new technologies like AI, ML, and NLP to ensure that RERA operates as a smart court. We want the power to effectively handle complaints in a fair, transparent, and timely fashion. Even for complex complaints or other activities, the authority will operate smoothly and effectively. It will help with massive data analysis as well as rapid machine learning, neural networks, pattern recognition, self-learning, predictive analytics, and data science, among other things."
How to submit your complaints on RERA?
RERA claimed that because e-courts have been commonplace for over three years during this difficult time, the epidemic has motivated homeowners to submit complaints online. On the RERA website, you may find information on the project's credentials needed, submission processes, goals, and scope of work. Expressions of interest must be sent by Friday, 26 May, 2023, at 1500 IST.
According to an official of RERA, ‘The consultants can submit their suggestions online utilising the RERA web portal's form, i.e., https://www.up-rera.in/index
When companies submit their applications, RERA will follow the regulations, make presentations, and choose the applicant who satisfies the specific requirements.’
The Uttar Pradesh government created a website for customer complaints in July 2017 after the RERA Act was passed in 2016. Customers who pay a charge of Rs 1,000 can register a complaint, and they can anticipate a result in 60 days. Virtual courts were set up for complainants during the epidemic and went entirely digital.
