  • Google Bard may soon be integrated into Google Lens

The largest and most important organ in the human body is the skin, and Google is all set to release a new Lens feature that will allow users to more accurately define potential issues in the skin. As per recent information from the company, a new function has been added to Google Lens, which is an image recognition tool for iOS and Android mobile devices, and would now help users recognise specific medical issues.

Google Lens to find skin-related disease

In order to detect the medical condition, users are required to point the phone's camera at that particular area of skin that is impacted. While utilising the capability of Google Lens to determine the kind of medical condition, users can also choose an image from their gallery, just like the regular image-recognition feature on Google Lens that finds similar-looking images.

The new skin condition detection feature will further allow users to identify a mole or rash on their skin, by eliminating the need to add any text to describe the disease, mentioned in a recent blog post of Google. Moreover, a scrollable section for visual matches with comparable photographs will also be displayed beneath these results.

Google to integrate Google Bard with Lens to enhance the AI prompt

Even though it is obvious that this feature is based on the company's capable image recognition technology and is not intended to be used in place of a medical diagnosis, it can nevertheless help users get a general grasp of what is hurting their skin before they see a dermatologist.

However, the company further claims that Google Lens will also help to spot other conditions including a bump on lip, a line on nails, or hair loss on head, given its design based on the skin conditions in mind.

Last but not least, Google has revealed that Google Bard will soon integrate Google Lens, which will enable users to attach an image to a Bard prompt so that Google's AI chatbot can better understand the query.
