Highlights
- HYRGPT is under beta phase and claims to save hiring time by upto 70%
- It thoroughly analyses resume using cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms
Generative AI has now reached the HR or human resources domain and has the potential to take over at least the first two stages of the recruiting process as ChatGPT continues on its disruptive march across sectors, revealed the recent information.
HYRGPT (HYR for hire mixed with GPT), developed by Bengaluru-based candidate and employee engagement platform, Personifwy, is still in its beta phase and is marketed as a generative AI-based recruiting co-pilot. It claims to save hiring time by 30 to 70 percent.
What all can this software do?
The software does away with conventional hiring practices where recruiters manually scan each CV using simple keywords before contacting qualified individuals to conduct preliminary interviews with predetermined standard questions.
For its part, HYRGPT thoroughly analyses resumes using cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms, selecting the most qualified individuals based on skills, work experience, and job relevancy. The system then conducts automatic interviews with the shortlisted individuals, doing away with the requirement for recruiters to use predetermined standard questions.
The software may also examine technical or functional issues across disciplines without the requirement for a specialised hiring manager, according to CEO, Debi Kar. This makes sure that candidates are suitably assessed for the position and their technical aptitude.
In short, hundreds of screenings can be conducted simultaneously by the same bot, but it won't be a one-size-fits-all method. These procedures are currently the responsibility of talent acquisition executives and related positions, which could disappear if the software is extensively used.
Is it stressful for talent executives?
However, Chief Operating Officer, Sameer Dharap, highlighted that while HYRGPT offers valuable insights, he added that it has to be kept in mind that it is only a tool to support decision-making, and human judgement is still essential. “The information provided by the software can be used as a reference to conduct further evaluations and interviews to validate candidate suitability for unique needs,” he said.
Among other businesses that are recruiting heavily, founders believe that IT, ITeS (Information Technology Enabled Services), BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance), and healthcare are suitable sectors to start in. Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and staffing companies, Indian multinationals, and independent recruiters are the current software's three main users.
