Shekhar Kapur's AI experiment
Taking to Instagram, Shekhar Kapur shared his unique endeavour involving ChatGPT, the popular AI language model. He asked ChatGPT to generate a script for 'Masoom 2,' the potential sequel to his iconic film. While Kapur was less than satisfied with the AI-generated storyline, he was astonished by the AI's intuitive grasp of the original film's themes and essence.
What responses did he get from ChatGPT?
In his Instagram post, Shekhar Kapur shared his thoughts on the AI-generated script. He mentioned , "There's so much talk about AI and how it's going to take over creative writing that I decided to test it."
The AI's version of 'Masoom 2' introduced a compelling narrative where the character Rahul, played by Jugal Hansraj, grapples with the emotions of rejection by his father and later comes to understand the pressures his father faced. He eventually forgives his father.
However, Kapur affirmed that his own script for 'Masoom 2' surpassed the AI-generated version, emphasising his continued creative edge over AI. He acknowledged that AI, despite its impressive understanding of the film's context, couldn't match the depth of human emotions in storytelling.
