Sony launches PS5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle in India! Price, availability & more
Sony is all set to launch the PS5's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle in India from November 10. However, unlike in the US, the new slim version of the console isn't available here yet.

Highlights
- PS5's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle will be available on November 10
- The PS5 disc variant in India costs Rs. 54,990
- Out of the 12 planned titles, six are now set to be released by FY25
Sony is set to launch the PS5's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle in India on 10 November. The package will not include the new slim version of the console, unlike in the US. The bundle, priced at Rs. 49,390, includes the standard 4K Blu-ray drive-equipped PS5 and a voucher code for the upcoming Activision shooter.
This is an 'introductory offer' until November 23, after which the price will increase to Rs. 59,390. PlayStation has increased its marketing in India, offering discounts on the PS5 and bundling it with popular games like God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2 and EA Sports FC (previously known as FIFA). However, the US Modern Warfare 3 bundle reportedly includes a free game with the PS5 Slim variant.
The PS5 disc variant in India costs Rs. 54,990 and the upcoming Call of Duty game is priced at Rs. 5,599 on the PlayStation store. The bundle will be available via a limited sale from Indian retailers such as Amazon, Chroma, Flipkart, GamestheShop, Reliance Digital, ShopatSC, and Vijay Sales.
Currently, there is uncertainty about the release date and pricing of the slimmer version of the PS5 in India. Sony has indicated that the new slim version will be available once the older models are sold off. This slim version is 30 percent smaller than the original and includes a detachable disc drive that requires an internet connection for registration.
While the hardware remains similar, the internal storage has been upgraded from 825GB to a 1TB SSD. There is also a digital PS5 slim variant priced at $449.99 (about Rs. 37,400), but it's essentially a marketing strategy, as one can purchase the Blu-ray drive separately and install it themselves. Sony has delayed half of the live service games it had planned to launch by March 2026, reducing the number from 12 to six titles.
Sony PlayStation COO Hiroki Totoki mentioned during an earnings call that they are reviewing the release schedule to ensure that these games provide long-lasting enjoyment for gamers. Out of the 12 planned titles, six are now set to be released by FY25, with the remaining six undergoing further evaluation, which might involve discussions with Bungie, the maker of Destiny 2.
Notably, The Last of Us multiplayer game, previously rumoured to be put on hold, is still actively in development, as confirmed by its director Vinit Agarwal. Additionally, the PS5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle and the game itself are set to launch on 10 November.
