Grand Theft Auto 6 could feature crypto rewards and payments as speculations rise among gaming community

Recently, several rumours have caught the attention of viewers, after Grand Theft Auto 6, is speculated to include an in-game cryptocurrency for payments. The series of this action-adventure game is created by David Jones and Mike Dailly. In this game, players are given an open world to complete missions by engaging in different activities, ranging from driving cars to shooting enemies. 

Developed by Rockstar's Games, the Grand Theft Auto series is well known for utilising cutting-edge technologies. Nearly 20 years after its release in 2004, GTA San Andreas is still recognised as being unique, futuristic, and a game that tackles several societal issues.

GTA 6, which is expected to be published in 2024 and is assumed to allow players to accept Bitcoin payments and rewards from famous contractors who choose to remain anonymous.

Development of GTA 6   

According to reports, GTA 6 had a budget of up to $2 billion, making it the most costly video game ever made. The CEO of parent firm, Take-Two Interactive, an American video game holding company, Strauss Zelnick, expressed his commitment to creating a ground-breaking gaming experience despite the fact that the developers haven't specifically addressed these rumours.  

The release date remains unknown, although indications suggest it may launch on current-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. 

Popularity garnered by GTA series 

The last series in the game, 'Grand Theft Auto V,' was released in 2013 and has reportedly sold over 160 million copies.  Some reports have even claimed that GTA 6 will be ranked as the top-notch gaming platform in this industry after integrating the P2E feature, an in-game cryptocurrency option for players to earn while playing the game.  

GTA 6 leaks further suggested the incorporation of P2E elements and real-world cryptocurrency prizes to be enriching for gamers in the future.
