Musk mentioned in a post on X explaining how to enable this feature, calling it an "Early version of video and audio calling on X." To use audio and video calling on X, go to the app's settings and toggle on the feature. You can choose who can call you: from your address book, people you follow, verified users, or all of these.
When you want to make a call, open a DM with another user, click the phone icon in the top right, and choose between audio or video call.
After renaming Twitter to X, Musk has made it clear that he wants to turn the platform into a super-app. This means it will offer various services like messaging, social networking, and peer-to-peer payments.
Back in August, Musk hinted that users won't need a phone number for these features, and they'll work on Apple's iOS, Google's Android, and personal computers.
