How to lock chats on WhatsApp

The Chat Lock feature allows users to password-protect their individual conversations and save them in a separate folder. When you lock a conversation and someone messages you, the sender's name and the content of the message will also be locked.

By tapping a one-to-one or group chat's name and choosing the lock option, users may lock a particular conversation. The only ways by which one can lock their chats are with a passcode, a fingerprint, or face unlock. Additionally, it immediately hides the conversation's content from notifications.

Steps to follow

To lock a WhatsApp chat, tap on the sender's chat and then scroll down, where you will see the option ‘Chat lock feature.' Tap on it and then activate the feature. You’ll also have to register your fingerprint to secure the chat.
