Price and availability of Meta-Verified in India

Starting on Wednesday, 7 June 2023, Meta Verified can be purchased directly on Instagram or Facebook in India. According to a post by Mark Zuckerberg on his Instagram channel, Meta Verified is now accessible in India, the UK, and Canada, with Brazil shortly to follow.

As per a blog post by Meta, the company will be honouring legacy verified badges, which basically implies that the existing verified accounts would continue to be verified on both Facebook and Instagram without paying any additional fees. Furthermore, they keep the same existing verifying details in order to protect the user's safety and security account. In the long run, they hope to develop a subscription service that will benefit everyone, including creators, businesses, and our community as a whole.

Meta stated in March of this year that Meta Verified will be offered in India for a monthly membership fee of Rs. 599 for web-based customers (Facebook only). The monthly membership fee for Meta Verified is set at Rs. 699 for users of Android and iOS. Users will receive the verified badge, proactive impersonation prevention, and account assistance with the subscription.

According to a note from Meta, since the first round of testing in Australia and New Zealand, Meta has made a few adjustments based on its learnings, including the removal of increased reach. This will also be the strategy for India, and fresh additions to the subscription are now being investigated.

How to obtain Meta Verification?

The Meta accounts must fulfill minimal activity standards, such as previous posting history, and candidates must be at least 18 years old in order to be eligible. Users then need to choose the profile they wish to have verified and set up their payment method. The next step is for applicants to provide a government ID that exactly matches the profile name and image of the Facebook or Instagram account they are requesting. It should be noted that the money paid will be refunded if the verification is disapproved.

Subscription details: Meta Verified

Meta Verified provides a number of advantages, much like Twitter Blue membership. According to Mark Zuckerberg, the main objective of Meta Verified is to increase security and authenticity across all of Meta's services.

Users can anticipate a wider reach as a result of their content's increased visibility by paying the monthly membership costs. This suggests that their material will appear more often in users' news feeds, search results, and comments. Furthermore, users will get access to exclusive stickers for Facebook and Instagram stories and reels.
