Crypto prices today 4 Oct 2023: Bitcoin hovers around $27K, XRP & GALA shine
The global crypto market cap value fell by 1.01 percent as Bitcoin recorded a 1.02 percent slump in its value.

On Wednesday, Bitcoin, the largest crypto across the world, fell by 1.02 percent to $27,362.81, at the time of writing this article (1030 IST). Even the top altcoins registered a decline in their value. Ethereum lost by 1.74 percent and is trading at $1,636.60 over the last 24 hours. Solana, Cardano, Toncoin, and BitCoin Cash slipped by 2.41 percent, 2.86 percent, 0.91 percent, and 5.59 percent respectively.
Contrastingly, GALA saw a price growth by 1.74 percent, and Avalanche gained by 1.44 percent over the previous day.
At present, Bitcoin’s dominance is at 49.5 percent, while that of Ethereum is at 18.2 percent.

Gainers and losers
Today's top gainer was XRP, which gained by 3.75 percent since the last day. Others in the green zone were UNUS SED LEO, Frax Share, Stellar, Conflux, etc. On the other hand, Bitcoin SV was the top decliner of the day, recording a fall of 10.35 percent in its prices. Further, Decentraland, dYdX, ApeCoin, and Axie Infinity were in the red zone.
Memecoins in the red
Today most of the popular memecoins were trading with cuts. Elon Musk’s favourite Dogecoin fell by 2.16 percent and was priced at $0.0609. Another canine-based memecoin, Shiba Inu was down by 1.38 percent to $0.00000719.
Metaverse tokens display mixed trends
Top Metaverse tokens were trading mixed today. While, Stacks, Axie Infinity, The Sandbox and Decentraland registered a dip in their value. Internet Computer, Enjin Coin, WEMIX, and inSure DeFi witnessed a rise.
