Travel the world with Snoop Dogg

With this new tech, Snoop Dogg will offer owners unique access to updates from the rapper's life while on tour in an NFT that will go on sale to fans in July. Furthermore, he will launch Snoop Selects, a curated collection of works by chosen NFT artists. Coldie, Terrell Jones, and Alien Queen are among the musicians who made up the inaugural batch of Snoop Selects.

The Snoop Dogg Passport Series is advertised as the first ‘evolving digital tour collectible,’ and it costs roughly $45 or 0.025 ETH and is available on snooppassport.xyz.

Users of the NFT collection get access to a range of materials, including audio from behind-the-scenes and pictures and videos the rapper provided while on tour. The NFT holders will also have access to upcoming releases of Snoop Dogg’s music and artwork.

The rapper claims to have long been "pushing things forward" and thinks digital merchandise will have a role in society in the future. He also encouraged other musicians to follow in his footsteps: "I'm hoping other artists can see what I'm doing and continue to innovate on their own," Snoop Dogg said in a statement.

Snoop collaborates with Transient Labs

The project was created in partnership with Transient Labs' web3 platform. The company's chief operating officer, Chris Ostoich, stated that the company is always searching for ways to utilise blockchain to offer unique experiences.

“Having the opportunity to connect one of the world’s greatest artists to fans in such a creative and engaging way is a great representation of what we’re all about at Transient Labs."

Snoop Dogg has long been involved in a number of web3 initiatives. In 2021, the rapper identified himself as "Cozomo de' Medici," an unnamed NFT collector whose wallet was valued at $17.6 million at the time.

Previously, on 6 March 2023, Snoop Dogg and IT entrepreneur Sam Jones were announced as the co-founders of Shiller, a web3-powered live-streaming platform. The software intends to integrate web3 technology with real-time streaming content.

Along with collecting NFTs, the rapper also worked with fellow rapper Eminem to display the ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club’ NFT collection. The pair released a song and had a breathtaking performance of it at the MTV Music Awards with a metaverse-themed performance of ‘From The D 2 The LBC,’ at New Jersey's Prudential Centre.
