A cryptocurrency project called 'Worldcoin' backed by Open AI CEO Sam Altman, has launched its crypto wallet called 'World App'.This app allows its users to store and transfer crypto tokens via the Polygon blockchain. Polygon is a Layer-2 scaling solution on Ethereum that helps increase the flexibility, scalability, and sovereignty of a blockchain.
What is World App?
World App is a part of the Worldcoin project and is currently in the beta testing phase. The ambitious vision of Project Worldcoin is to create a global identity and a financial network that gives ownership access and access to the global economy no matter what country they belong to or what background they come from.
Worldcoin’s strategy is to achieve its vision by giving away its token free of cost to individuals who can verify their unique identity using an imaging device called ORB, which scans the human eye. The ORB is designed to protect users’ privacy and ensure each person can claim only one share of Worldcoin.
When can users experience the app?
World App is currently in its beta testing phase and is expected to roll out soon for the masses. For now, the point of World App is to operate as a user-friendly crypto wallet, eventually, it will bring more features that will make the app more user-friendly and accessible to the masses.
Another project backed by Sam Altman called World Id helps users to prove their identity as a human without revealing their true real-world identity. World App also allows users to participate in the Worldcoin protocol which is an open-source project supported by a global community of developers, individuals, economists, and technologists.
