Meta allows employees a sneak- peek into upcoming AI tools for WhatsApp & Messenger
As per Thursday's session of Meta with its staff members, the company displayed upcoming AI tools which will be used to power its various products along with introducing ChatGPT-like chatbots for Messenger and WhatsApp.

On Thursday, Meta Platforms, the company that owns Facebook, gave its staff a preview of a number of AI tools it was developing, including ChatGPT-like chatbots for Messenger and WhatsApp that could communicate using several personalities.
At the meeting, Meta’s Chief Executive, Mark Zuckerberg, informed employees that, “Developments in generative AI over the previous year have now made it possible for the company to build the technology into every single one of our products.”
Meta works on building AI features in Instagram and ads
As per Meta’s spokesperson, company executives also displayed two upcoming Instagram features that may alter user photographs via text prompts and another that is said to produce emoji stickers for messaging services.
Months after rivals like Google, Microsoft, and Snapchat announced the releases of AI-related tools on their platforms, Meta has also joined the bandwagon. During the sneak peek session of its upcoming AI tools, Meta also gave its employees a hint on how the company is going to build its own generative AI, which would be available to its 3.8 billion monthly users.
As per the session’s summary, Meta is reportedly working on rolling out consumer-facing generative AI products. Last month, the company announced plans to work with limited advertisers to test tools that incorporate AI to produce image backgrounds and several versions of written copy for their ad campaigns.
Meta unveils Metamate, a productivity assistant for its employees
After determining that Meta lacked the hardware and software capability to help support the quest of its AI products last year, this time the company planned to buckle up. Sources have claimed that the social media giant is now focused on reorganising its AI divisions and investing heavily in transforming the overall infrastructure.

Given the inclusion of consumer-facing products, executives at the meeting also unveiled Metamate, a productivity assistant for staff members, who would be able to respond to questions and carry out tasks using data from internal corporate systems.
