The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) enables instantaneous real-time payments, offering an alternative to IMPS/NEFT and ensuring the secure transfer of funds. To authorise UPI transactions, users need both a UPI ID and a distinctive UPI PIN. Here's a guide on how to set your UPI PIN.
UPI PIN, or Unified Payments Interface Personal Identification Number, is a 4 or 6-digit password set by users during UPI registration. It confirms transactions and should be kept confidential to prevent fraud.
1. Install Paytm mobile app. 2. Open the app and go to 'Profile.' 3. Navigate to Payment Settings > UPI & Linked Bank Accounts. 4. Click 'Set PIN' under the bank account. 5. Enter card details, receive OTP, set UPI PIN.
- Unique and set by the account owner. - Ensures transactional security. - Users choose their own easy-to-remember UPI PIN.
