Lost your mobile? Don't panic! Here's a quick guide to file a complaint through CEIR in India.
- Visit to the official CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal: https://ceir.gov.in/. - Look for the option that allows you to file a lost report. This is typically labelled as 'Report Lost/Stolen Mobile.'
- Fill the information about your lost mobile, including the IMEI no. You can find the IMEI number on the original mobile box. - Enter your personal details, such as your name, contact number, and any other information requested.
For assistance or additional queries, you can contact the CEIR helpline at 1800-103-0022.
- Some complaints may require you to attach a copy of your photo ID, proof of purchase, and other relevant documents. Ensure you have these ready in a digital format.
- Complete any verification steps, such as entering a captcha or confirming your identity through an OTP. - Review all entered details for accuracy. Once done, submit the complaint.
- After successful submission, you will receive an unique complaint number. - Keep track of your complaint status by revisiting the CEIR portal.
