Passkeys represent a fresh and secure approach for WhatsApp users to access their accounts. This innovative method aligns with Meta's no password strategy, eliminating the traditional SMS-based two-factor authentication previously used on the platform.

Passkeys offer faster and more secure account access through devices specific PINs or biometrics, effectively replacing the need for conventional passwords. This feature is available to only Android users for now.

Steps to setup Passkey on your WhatsApp 1. Open the WhatsApp 2. Click on the three dots on the top right corner 3. Select Settings 4. Click on Account 5. Select Passkey

When setting up Passkeys, WhatsApp provides the option to link your phone's screen lock using the existing PIN or password. Following this, you'll be prompted to create your passkey, either through a PIN or your fingerprint.

Once completed, you also have the option to revoke the initial passkey and create a new one if desired.
