WhatsApp has introduced a new update, enhancing photo-sharing by enabling users to send high-definition (HD) quality photos within the app. This feature allows for sharing moments with exceptional clarity. To enjoy this advancement, follow these steps:
the HD-quality photo option is only available in the latest versions of WhatsApp for Android and iOS. If you haven’t already, download and install the latest version of WhatsApp on your device.
The option for HD quality will be visible when attempting to send high-quality and larger image files through WhatsApp. The exact file size threshold for 'large' remains undisclosed; however, it's essential to recognise that small files will not activate the HD photo feature.
Choose a contact or group to whom you want to send the photo. Tap on the attachment icon to access the photo-sharing window
When sharing a large image file, WhatsApp will display an HD-quality icon at the top of the photo-sharing window. This indicates the availability of the HD photo option.
Tap the HD-quality icon to pick between standard and HD quality for the photo you want to send. WhatsApp typically sets "Standard quality" as the default for all photos. Opting for HD guarantees the transmission of higher-quality photos.
After sharing an HD quality photo, WhatsApp will add a new tag to distinguish it from other photos. This tag will help you identify whether a shared photo is in HD quality or not.
