How This Spyware Enters Your Mobile Phone?

'Spynote' Syware spreads through 'Smishing' technique. - Smishing technique involves sending infected SMS. 

Users who receive these notifications are instructed to click the offered link to download specific apps.

Once the app (spyware) is installed on an Android device, it disguises itself and hides to avoid detection.

Due to its ability to record phone calls, this malware also invades the privacy of its users.  The recorded data are subsequently delivered to the attacker and saved in the .wav file extension.

The phone's state changes when the victim receives an incoming call.  The broadcast receiver's code verifies that the victim has answered the call before start recording the audio.

Additionally, the malware can take.jpeg files from a user's phone in order to collect more data.

As the infection rate rises daily, it is in your best interest to be attentive about this malware and to refrain from clicking on foreign URLs sent to you via SMS, among other things.
