- Reliance Jio has introduced a competitor to Airtel's Xstream AirFiber, which is promoted as 'India's initial wireless home WiFi service utilising 5G Plus.' The new offering, named Reliance Jio's AirFiber, was launched on Ganesh Chaturthi, just one day ago. While, Airtel Xstream was launched on 7 August.
-JioAirFiber's initial availability covers eight cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. In contrast, the Xstream AirFiber service is presently accessible to Airtel 5G users in Delhi and Mumbai.
-Airtel offers a single ₹799 plan with 100 Mbps speed for its device. -Jio's plans are divided into two categories: AirFiber and AirFiber Max. The starting price is ₹599 and speed upto 30 Mbps. You get 1000 Mbps for ₹3399 per month.
Airtel's device is plug-and-play, simply pick it up from the Airtel Store and set it up with Xstream AirFiber app. Whereas, Jio's process is a bit more complex. Users who are interested can indicate their interest by making a missed call or by visiting Jio's website.
