As India has scripted history with Chandrayaan 3, several public & private companies were behind India’s journey to the moon. From L&T's critical components to BHEL's 100th battery milestone, let us take a look at some of the companies which helped ISRO's historic mission.
L&T supplied several crucial components - from the supply of ground & flight umbilical plates to the manufacturing & proof pressure testing of critical booster segments. It also played a vital role in the system integration of the aunch vehicle.
Hindustan Aeronautics also played a role in the success of the Chandrayaan 3 mission. HAL provided several components that supported India’s Chandrayaan 3 mission.
In 2021, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited marked a remarkable milestone, providing its 100th battery to ISRO for the vital Chandrayaan 3 mission, as per sources.
Walchandnagar Industries Ltd has been involved in supplying critical booster segments S200 used in the launch vehicle, flex nozzle control tankages and S200 Flex nozzle hardware.
It has manufactured & supplied critical materials such as cobalt base alloys, nickel base alloys, titanium alloys & special steels for various components of the LVM3/M4, a three-stage heavy lift launch vehicle used in the lunar mission.
