Apple’s latest iPhone 15 line-up has plenty of features, like the Dynamic Island and USB-C. The standard models get a big camera boost to 48MP, a new Action button; and the Pro Max has a fancy new tetraprism telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Even after all this these features, it lacks in a few departments against Android phones. Here are a few.
The charging speed of Androids is still better than that of iPhones, even in comparison to the latest iPhone 15. Some of the fastest charging speeds of Android phones are 210W, which is 66 percent in just five minutes. Even normal Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 have great charging speeds—not so fast, but at least faster than the iPhone.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max has 5x optical zoom capabilities that can capture much better closeup shots, no doubt, but if you look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it has the same size and range as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it has a periscope telephoto camera that is capable of taking photos up to 10x optical zoom, which is double that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The Action Button on the iPhone offers single use functionality. It does not have multiple-task functions like Android phones. If you press once, it can do one task, and double press for another. On some Android phones, you can use multiple actions with the side button, where if you double press you can access the camera, press and hold to access the voice assistant, and more.
When it comes to the normal iPhone 15 and Plus, it has been using a very outdated 60 HZ display, compared to the high price of the iPhone. Android phones give out very budget friendly options that have 90 HZ displays these days; models like the Galaxy S23 have 120 HZ, which is comparatively much better than Apple’s 60 HZ.
While Apple has tried to close the gap with a few top-of-the-line Android features, there is a lot of improvement to be made. t's surprising to see that the ISB-C charger is still not so fast at charging. Paying 800 dollars for a base model iPhone 15 that has only a 60 Hz display is also disheartening.
