Google recently launched Bard Extensions, a new feature that enables integration between the chat-based AI tool Bard & various Google apps, including Gmail, Google Docs & Google Drive.
- Go to your Google Bard homepage. - Click on the Horizontal Lines menu on the top left corner. - Select the Extensions option. - Activate the toggle for the app you want to add the extension for. - Click 'Done'. - Your Bard extensions are now active and ready to use.
- It allows you to access YouTube videos through simple prompts. - You can watch videos directly in Bard Chat, without switching windows. - Additionally, you can request video recommendations, such as asking for motivational or funny stuff.
- Bard can create order-related emails with order details, shipping estimates when you share your email information. - By providing Bard with your Gmail email, it can generate a concise summary of an email thread that you can read or copy for use elsewhere.
- Within the chat window, this extension provides access to Google Maps. - You can utilise it to search for various locations & request distance information between two places. - If you have geography-related questions, it can display maps to illustrate the answers.
- In Google Docs, you can use Google Bard to summarise documents by providing the document title. - It simplifies tasks like copy-pasting between Google Docs & Bard. - Additionally, Bard can translate documents into other languages.
